As you lie sleeping

As you lie sleeping,

Your breath on my face sets my heart to race.

The uneven pace paves the way

for my hands to stray beneath cover

sheets and pull you close to me..

Easy though,

(Can’t break the feeling)

Nice and slow,

(Can’t have you catching me in this moment I’m stealing)

Can’t have you knowing what I’m feeling

Senses reeling,

Believing, for a second,

We are more than just ‘a moment’

We are heaven written…

Now you’re close enough

to hear your heart beating

Stroke the hair from your brow

Feel the beat quicken

Tension for a second

Till I kiss your eyelid

Your face language recognises the

style print, frown subsides

Your body cozies into submission.

Misson achieved,

I smile at the vision.

Heaven can wait

I’ll rather take this
